(Uncovered) If Not, Than List it As Covered : <p>Is the Septic Tank Lid <em><strong>covered</strong> </em>with dirt or <em><strong>uncovered?</strong></em> If you remove the dirt from the lid then you avoid paying a digging fee at the time of service.You do not need to remove the lid itself,just uncover the dirt. A 1000 gallon tank has one lid. A 1500 Gallon tank has two lids, and both need to be uncovered.If you also have a <em><strong>Drywell</strong></em> and want that pumped as well it too needs to be uncovered.</p>
Information for: Do You Know Where Your Septic Tank Is Located? : <p><strong>Your LocalCounty Health Department has a map on file of your septic system</strong>. If you look under our <em><strong>Septic Pumping Drop Down Menu</strong></em> you will find your county Health department number. You can call them and have them<strong> </strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>fax us a copy</strong> <strong>of your septic permit map</strong></span> to us at(517) 764-0019. If you already know right where your tank is located, then disregard this message.</p>
Information for: Septic Tank Location Notes : <p>Enter any special location notes on where your septic tank is located to help the driver find your septic system access location. Your notes here will help you remember the location in the future as well.</p>

* This Field is required Information for: Estimated Septic Tank Capacity In Gallons : <p>If the home was built <em><strong>before 1990</strong></em>, estimate 1000 Gallons, if after 1500 gallons. The building codes in Jackson County changed in 1990. The minimum size of a septic tank went up to 1500 gallons at that point. So, any septic system permits issued after 1990 are normally 1500 gallon tanks.</p>
